See Studio Companys MacBeth this weekend; four performances scheduled

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO The Acting Club opens “MacBeth” tomorrow in the LOHS multi purpose room near the pool on campus. Lady MacBeth, played by Allegra Wolff, is surrounded by witches, played by (clockwise from top) Voni Kengla, Isabel Skene, Hannah Boe and Caitlyn Reagan.

The Acting Club will present 'MacBeth,' its first Studio Company production, March 16, 17 and 18.

According to director Duffy Bernie, 'MacBeth' is Shakespeare's 'shortest, most action-packed play and features witches, battles, assassinations and a very famous ghost. Rarely performed in high schools, it presents challenges to the actors as they portray very dramatic characters who must contend with extreme situations that seem to be ever-changing.'

The production draws on the talents of some very experienced student actors from LOHS, Lakeridge, LOJ, Waluga and some advanced sixth-graders. Meredith Johnson, a Lakeridge senior, is the assistant director.

Performances are scheduled for March 16 at 7:30 p.m., March 17 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. in the LOHS multi purpose room, building 2477 by the pool on the LOHS campus. Admission is free.

The Studio Company is the Acting Club's advanced production program for experienced, talented junior and senior high school students.
