NWCT announces 2013-2014 season
Northwest Childrens Theatre and School has released the lineup of is 2013-2014 season of plays. Secure your tickets early to get the best seats and discounts on two-show, three-show and full season subscription packages.
Flex passes combine subscriber discounts with the freedom to pick your show dates at a time that is convenient for you. Flex passes are $18 each and can be used for an adult or youth ticket to any performance. A minimum purchase of eight flex passes is required; flex pass sales close on Sept. 15.
The plays to be performed this season include:
James and the Giant Peach is running Sept. 28 through Oct. 27. Anything is possible when young James Trotter discovers a magical escape from his dreary life with Aunts Spiker and Sponge. Climb aboard with James and his crew of friendly, talking insects as they sail an enchanted peach across the Atlantic in search of a new home.
Peter Pan is running Dec. 7 through Jan. 5, 2014. Peter Pan, Wendy and the Lost Boys are back for the holidays. Be a part of the most popular show in NWCT history as the boy who would not grow up flies from London to Neverland, battles Captain Hook and his cowardly pirates and revels in the adventures of childhood.
Goodnight Moon runs Feb. 1 through March 2. The classic bedtime story is lovingly retold as the Great Green Room springs to live, from singing bears playing musical chairs, to a nervous cow jumping over the moon, incorporating sensory storytelling and American Sign Language, this is a theatrical lullaby perfect for every child.
Little Red Riding Hood will run April 26 through May 26. All Little Red wants is to race cars, but when shes told girls cant take shop class her dreams are dashed. Luckily for Red, Grandma has some tricks up her sleeve - if The Wolf doesnt find out first. Set to the tune of 1950s bebop, Little Red Riding Hood is the story of the girl who steers her own path.
