They are members of Troop 250 and have been involved with Girl Scouting since kindergarten.

For their Gold Award project, they were part of a team that created a sensory garden at Mt. Hood Kiwanis Camp.

Brown was responsible for clearing, leveling and preparing the property for the garden, while Hansen selected and planted native plants and prepared education placards for the garden.

Brown is a 2012 graduate of Lakeridge High School and will attend Gonzaga University to study music in the fall. Hansen, a 2012 Lake Oswego High graduate, will study business at Willamette University.
