Alyssa Rose Brooks

Future plans: Whitworth University

Major: English literature with a minor in political science

Long-term goals: I’m considering a career in law, but I want to start with a degree and experiment with law, then after the next four years reevaluate whether or not it’s still the direction I want to go. 

Favorite teacher: Mrs. Witkowski

Favorite class: Advanced Placement literature and composition taught by Mr. Sale

Favorite high school memory: Spending the spring break of my senior year in London with five good friends and our drama teacher, Mr. Shelton.

Long-term goals: International psychology and law consulting — I love learning about the psychology behind decisions and am interested in pursuing international applications of psychology within a law career.

Future plans: Tisch School of the Arts at New York University

Major: Musical theater/acting

Long-term goals: I have wanted to act for as long as I can remember. It’s the place where I feel right. Like it’s meant to be. I would like to do stage as well as film.

Favorite teacher: Mr. Wright — I’ve learned so much from him, and he has pushed me to work harder and help me realize I have more potential than I thought I had.

Favorite class: Drama.

Favorite high school memory: Opening night of “Alice in Wonderland.” It was my first lead role and I remember feeling the best adrenaline rush I’ve ever had.

Future plans: University of Washington

Major: Business administration

Long-term goals: I desire to go to culinary school after I get a degree at University of Washington because my dream is to become a chef. I want to be a chef because I love making food and I’m in my element when I’m in the kitchen.

Favorite high school memory: Playing on the varsity golf team for all four years. The golf trips to Bandon Dunes Golf Resort were the best.

Major: Chemical engineering

Long-term goals: I wish to pursue a career in which I discover new types of materials that could be created in order to improve and maximize efficiency. I seek to pursue this career because I greatly enjoyed chemistry in high school and excel in math.

Favorite teacher: Mrs. Landsem, my sophomore English teacher, because she had spunk and made everything fun.

Favorite class: Digital art, because we are allowed to explore and create all types of things in Photoshop.

Favorite high school memory: Giving two assists in my last high school soccer game, one being a diving header.
