The Lake Oswego Review regularly prints lists of college graduates and dean’s list honorees, and below are names of students that the newspaper has received so far.

Content comes from what parents and schools send. There are too many institutes of higher education for the news staff to track. Honorees include:

  • Jenna Conan, who earned her Lakeridge High School diploma in 2009, graduated magna cum laude from Texas Christian University with a bachelor’s in early childhood education and a certification in English as a second language.

  • Scott Johnson, who earned his Lake Oswego High School diploma in 2009, graduated magna cum laude from Santa Clara University with a Bachelor of Science in Commerce, majoring in finance with minors in economics and environmental studies.

  • Brian K. Ward, who earned his Lake Oswego High School diploma in 2008, graduated magna cum laude from the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona from the Eller College of Management with a Bachelor of Science in business administration in finance.

  • Charles Bissett, who graduated from Lake Oswego High School in 2009, earned a bachelor’s in international studies at the University of Oregon this spring.

  • Simone Stadler of Lake Oswego earned a bachelor’s degree from Beloit College in Beloit, Wis.

  • Several students from Lake Oswego graduated from the University of San Diego in San Diego, Calif.: Robert Breedlove, magna cum laude, bachelor’s in accountancy; Caroline Cook, magna cum laude, bachelor’s in political science; Ross Ehren, cum laude, bachelor’s in visual arts; Molly McCluskey, bachelor’s in theology and religious studies; Nicolette Layne Trebing, bachelor’s in communication studies; and James Cook Trumbull IV, bachelor’s in English.

  • Emily Baker, Riverdale High School alumna, graduated summa cum laude from Bard College at Simon’s Rock in Great Barrington, Mass. with a bachelor’s in theater and comparative languages.

  • Many students from Lake Oswego earned a place on the honor roll this spring term at Oregon State University in Corvallis.   • Several Lake Oswego residents graduated from George Fox University in Newberg: Daniel Carlson, bachelor’s in finance; Corinne Borrelli, bachelor’s in international studies; James Ferraris, bachelor’s in management and organizational leadership; Ryan Seigneur, bachelor’s in engineering; Stephanie Abdulmajid, bachelor’s social work; Jody Farri, an education specialist in school psychology degree; Michele Biehler, a master of business administration; Lori Hensel, a master of business administration; and Robert Mayfield, a master of business administration.

  • Jacob Shimkus, a 2011 Lakeridge High graduate, received a summer internship at the U.S. Embassy in Lima, Peru with the Commercial Service. Shimkus recently finished his second year at Claremont McKenna College in Claremont, Calif. where he is studying international relations and economics.
