Grant deadline fast approaching

Eco-conscious local schools in need of a little extra funding have until the end of the week to take advantage of a local grant.

The Clackamas County Office of Sustainability has grants of up to $500 for schools that need dollars to boost their recycling, compost or waste reduction programs. Previous grant recipients have installed water bottle filling stations, built recycling collection stations and bought durable dishes to decrease cafeteria waste. Apply by Friday.
