Rotary scholarships available

Rotary Club of Lake Oswego is offering scholarships to four area high school seniors. Two students at Lake Oswego High School and two students at Lakeridge High School each will receive college scholarships. One student per school will earn the distinction of receiving the Rotary Merit Scholarship, aimed at encouraging academic excellence and valued at $2,000.

The other honor is the Rotary Service Above Self Scholarship, which is given to students who best demonstrate Rotary’s motto “Service Above Self,” and it is valued at $2,500.

Students who wish to apply can contact their school’s counseling department.

Lake Oswego Rotary Club President Malcolm Mathes will announce the scholarship recipients at each high school’s annual awards ceremony.
