Several Pacers offered up a few reasons why they loved devoting their time to the production and why people should stop by the school auditorium on Overlook Drive and take in a show today, Friday or Saturday:

n Jackson Waste said the choreography, vocals and accompaniment of “Who Loves You” by The Four Seasons are excellent. “It’s the perfect song for our grand finale,” said Waste, a senior.

n Junior Isabella Stephens favors Huey Lewis and the News’ Back to the Future classic, “The Power of Love,” and the Grease ballad, “You’re the One That I Want.”

“I love that through our group numbers we are not only able to create beautiful music, but create friendships and memories that will last a lifetime,” Stephens said.by: REVIEW PHOTO: VERN UYETAKE - From left, Company members and seniors Meaghan Phelan and Elizabeth Hartman rehearse for the variety show.

n Anton Mendoza, senior, said he loves the choreography in “The Power of Love,” and his favorite numbers are the one the male Company members take on, an arrangement of Bruno Mars’ “When I Was Your Man,” and Stray Cats’ “Rock This Town.”

“’When I Was Your Man”’ is so emotional, and all the guys really get into it,” Mendoza said. “We always joke about wanting to make the crowd sob out of the raw feelings that come from the song, but I really do think that a couple of eyes will be shedding tears by the end of the song.”by: REVIEW PHOTO: VERN UYETAKE - Costumes, lighting and choreography range widely in the many Company numbers. n Abby Zink put together a number set to OneRepublic’s “Counting Stars,” which features a full band. She also is excited about the sopranos joining their voices in “Let It Go” from the Disney movie “Frozen.”

“It’s fun to have something Disney in it for the kids ... and I’m really grateful to be in that number for that reason,” said Zink, a junior.

“While I absolutely love the music and choreography (all of our dance numbers but one were choreographed by students), I really love the energy each member puts into the performance,” Mitchell said. “I count myself lucky to be a part of such a committed group, and I think that level of dedication will be apparent on stage.”

n Quinn Milionis, senior, is participating in two group numbers done to “Pompeii,” by Bastille and “Counting Stars.” Milionis said the members of Company have grown close and worked hard.

“Everybody just puts in their heart and soul in the ensemble numbers and the group numbers as well, so it’s nice to see it all come together, and it’s nice for people to see what we’ve been working on,” he said.
