Pacific Lumber moves HQ to Lake Oswego

Pacific Lumber & Truss Company announced Tuesday that it has relocated its headquarters to Lake Oswego.

The firm is a leading Oregon building materials supplier, and it will bring 25 jobs to Lake Oswego. These will include top administrative and management personnel, sales and logistical operations.

"We are thrilled about the move," said company owner Jim Morse. "It really synergizes our company. Having all divisions working together is a big step for us."

As part of the move the company has completed the structure for a new design center and retail building materials center on the site at 5895 Jean Road. A grand opening for the location is planned March 8.

The site will continue to house Pacific Lumber's truss manufacturing plant and its door and millwork division, which provides premier doors, windows, moulding and millwork.

Lake Oswego was an extremely attractive place for the company because it is the geographic center of its customer base, making delivery logistics more streamlined.

"The community is going to love the new Lake Oswego design center," Morse said.

Pacific Lumber & Truss Company is a landmark Oregon firm that was founded in 1931 by Clayton Morse, grandfather of Jim Morse. The company has long been a leader in supplying building materials to some of the area's largest builders and contractors. It has been a source of supply for the area's top remodelers and professional contractors.
