LO police help search for Portland burglar


Lake Oswego police helped search for a man accused of burglarizing a Southwest Portland home Monday afternoon, according to the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies, Lake Oswego police officers and a police dog responded to a residence in the 13200 block of Southwest 63rd Avenue in Portland at about 2:30 p.m. Monday, after a witness reported watching someone approach the home and wait at the front door before going inside. The suspect exited a while later, reportedly fleeing with stolen items.

The witness, who lives at the burglarized home but watched the incident unfold from a different residence nearby, is working with a Clackamas County forensic artist on a sketch of the suspect.

At the time of the burglary he was wearing a black knit cap, a black coat, black pants and gloves and carried a black backpack.
