Gabriel E. Le Chevallier

Gabriel E. Le Chevallier died Feb. 25, 2013 of heart failure. He was 86.Le Chevallier

Mr. Le Chevallier was born in Paris, France to Robert and Therese Le Chevallier. He was raised in Vaudry, France and attended Jesuit College in LeMans and then Catholic University of Angers. He earned a degree in dairy science from the University of Fribourg, Switzerland.

He married for the first time in 1953. His wife, Mary Frances Le Chevallier, died in 1988. He married his wife, Sharon, on Feb. 6, 1993.

He worked as a sales representative to the food processing industry for 35 years and retired in 2000. He lived in Lake Oswego since 1964.

Mr. Le Chevallier enjoyed photography, home remodeling and travel. He was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Parish where he was active in religious education, prayer group and Returning Catholics ministry.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon; sons, Robert Le Chevallier, Lake Oswego and Mark Le Chevallier, Voorhees, N.J.; daughters Claire Hauge, Corvallis, Nancy Bartosz, Roseburg and Colette Cassinelli, Portland; stepdaughters, Helen Spacek, Molalla, Suzie Magness, Bend; stepsons, John Anderson, Portland and Fr. Eric Anderson, Gervais.

A granddaughter, Therese Marie Le Chevallier, preceded him in death in 1990.

Visitation will be at Springer & Son Funeral Home, 4150 SW 185th Ave., Beaverton on March 1 at 4 p.m.

A funeral mass will be held March 2 at 11 a.m. at Our Lady of the Lake Church in Lake Oswego and burial will follow at Sacred Heart Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.

Remembrances may be made to Our Lady of the Lake Building Fund, 650 A Ave., Lake Oswego, 97034.
