3/19/13 8:20 p.m. A thief smashed in the back window of a rented car on Kruse Oaks Drive and stole a backpack with a laptop.

3/25/13 6:30 a.m. A Honda Civic, parked on South State Street, was broken into by smashing a window. Besides the damage, a purse containing a driver’s license and miscellaneous items were stolen.

3/25/13 11:54 a.m. A rock thief reportedly parked his truck on railroad tracks near Berwick Road and loaded it with rocks.

3/19/13 8:07 a.m. A sapphire and diamond heirloom ring valued between $15,000 and $20,000 was discovered missing by a woman. She had it in her pocket on Saturday but it was gone when she got home.

3/19/13 2:41 p.m. A man in a van started yelling at another man and demanding to know the name of his son.
