BURGLARY

9/5/13 8 a.m. A burglar got into an attached garage on Knaus Road and stole a wallet and purse.

ACCIDENTS

9/3/13 6:42 p.m. While pulling out of a business complex, a driver’s vehicle hit the car of another driver. While the victim’s car pulled over, the first car kept right on going.

9/6/13 12:28 p.m. A hit-and-run noninjury accident was reported in the 2700 block of Glenmorrie Drive. The driver said her vehicle was struck by a newspaper delivery vehicle, which then left the scene.

9/6/13 4:28 p.m. A hit-and-run accident reportedly occured at either Albertsons or River Grove Elementary School. No injuries were reported.

THEFTS

9/3/13 12:23 p.m. Tools, a nail gun and Sawzall sander were taken from a house on Spruce Street.

9/4/13 9:14 a.m. A thief took advantage of an unlocked car trunk to steal golf clubs and a golf cart.

9/4/13 3:36 p.m. A vending machine thief struck at a hotel, robbing three machines of $317.

9/4/13 10:19 p.m. A thief stole a vinyl makeup case after smashing in the window of a car on Kruse Oaks Drive.

9/4/13 10:21 p.m. Money from a bank account and a camera were taken from an apartment on Lake Grove Avenue.

9/5/13 7:09 a.m. A leather satchel with a laptop was stolen from a white Mercedes on North Shore Road. A thief gained entry by breaking a window.

9/5/13 11:14 a.m. A thief made off with perfume and lipstick after breaking into a car on Lake Shore Road.

9/5/13 11:22 a.m. A stolen laptop was discovered in a pawn shop.

9/7/13 8:55 a.m. A Ford Explorer was entered sometime overnight on Scarborough Drive. An iPod was taken.

9/7/13 10:25 a.m. An iPod docking station and miscellaneous items were removed from a Chevrolet Tahoe parked on Park Road.

9/7/13 4:50 p.m. A Chevy Tahoe was entered by breaking a rear window while the rig was parked at the Mountain Park Racquet Club. A purse and credit card were taken.

9/3/13 6:25 a.m. A loud leaf blower is arousing early morning ire on Boones Ferry Road.

9/3/13 8:09 a.m. A lady is concerned that a now-placid coyote may start going after kids on bikes on Parkview Drive.

9/3/13 9:35 a.m. Blocked sidewalks are forcing kids to walk on the roadway after they leave school.

9/3/13 12:21 p.m. An aggressive dog was wrongfully taken to the “timid/shy” area of Luscher Farm, but its aggressive owner refused to take the dog away.

9/3/13 12:43 p.m. A woman was harassed with calls saying she had won a million dollars from Publisher’s Clearing House even though it was a big lie.

9/3/13 2:42 p.m. A mother is distressed because her two sons will not stop fighting.

9/3/13 2:53 p.m. A renter in another apartment is being a crummy neighbor, constantly harassing a woman and pointing cameras inside her apartment.

9/3/13 5:11 p.m. A mysterious man in a parked car refused to identify himself to police.

9/4/13 1:33 a.m. A deer was dispatched after it became impaled on a fence.

9/4/13 8:48 a.m. A brother keeps emailing his sister despite her requests for him to stop.

9/4/13 12:51 p.m. A reckless driver blew by three stop signs. He later received a call from police.

9/4/13 2:12 p.m. A man had to take his cat to the vet after it was shot by a pellet gun.

9/4/13 3:03 p.m. Five kittens were trapped in a sewage tank on Foothills Road but managed to escape before a police officer arrived to check on them.

9/4/13 4:45 p.m. A wild driver nearly ran a woman driver off the roadway and was tailgating other drivers. However, when police located the driver he blamed the other drivers.

9/5/13 10:07 a.m. A truck somehow lost a load of sheet metal strips, which spilled all over Rosemont Road.

9/5/13 10:57 a.m. People thought a man was having a medical issue when he tipped over while riding his bike, but he assured them he was fine.

9/5/13 11:29 a.m. A woman has violated a restraining order in Tigard, Tualatin and now Lake Oswego.

9/5/13 2:01 p.m. A woman’s son is feeling so intimidated by two recent high school graduates that he is refusing to go outside.

9/5/13 6:23 p.m. While cruising the Internet, a father noticed graffiti at a location on A Avenue. He has a good idea who did it: his daughter.

9/6/13 6:04 a.m. Several reports were received of trees and branches causing roadway hazards at Boones Ferry Road and Palatine Street, Falstaff Road and Touchstone Street, and Cornell and Spruce streets. Debris was removed from each location.

9/6/13 11:15 a.m. A tire was slashed on a vehicle on Greenridge Court.

9/6/13 11:34 a.m. An officer assisted with traffic control while a down tree was removed from the intersection of Highway 43 and Oak Street.

9/6/13 5:49 p.m. A locked mailbox in the 500 block of Eighth Street was broken into. Damage was estimated at $70; it was unknown what, if anything, was taken.

9/6/13 8:43 p.m. A resident of Kingsgate Road reported getting harassing email from an ex. Police provided advice and options.

9/7/13 1:07 a.m. Two guests of a hotel on Meadows Road were taken to a detox facility after they earlier were reported to be too loud and wouldn’t leave.

9/7/13 11:21 a.m. A window was broken on a vehicle in the 2800 block of Park Road.

9/7/13 11:52 p.m. The Lake Oswego parks ranger was alerted that a hornets nest was seen near the rock climbing area of Foothills Park.

9/7/13 1:21 p.m. After a resident at an apartment complex on Eaglecrest Drive asked a dog owner to quit letting his dog urinate in the garden area, the dog owner allegedly told the resident that he was going to call the police on her.

9/7/13 2:51 p.m. Officers were called to investigate a report of a “smelly chicken coop with chickens” on a vacant lot behind a homeowner’s house. The home and chicken coop (and chickens’) owner told police the chickens would be removed for the winter.

9/7/13 6:09 p.m. At Hazelia Field Dog Park, a dog owner reported an unleashed dog kept trying to bite the reporting person’s dog.

9/7/13 8:54 p.m. A coyote was observed in the 3900 block of Tempest Drive. A neighbor reported that the remains of a cat that appeared to have been killed by a coyote had been found.

9/8/13 12:48 p.m. Apparently someone set up a fake cellphone account for a reportee’s high-school-age son and now females are being sexted through that account.

9/8/13 5:41 p.m. Two dogs, possibly pit bull brothers, were running at large in the 200 block of North State Street. Officers were unable to catch the canines.

9/8/13 8:11 p.m. Airborne fireworks were reported in the area of 15300 block of Twin Fir Road and a little bit later at the intersection of Edgemont and Twin Fir roads. A warning was given to the offending party.

9/8/13 8:12 p.m. A greyhound with no collar reportedly attacked a woman near the intersection of Bryant Road and Lower Drive. The dog reportedly was running loose in the area.

9/8/13 9:43 p.m. Sounds of either gunshots or fireworks were reported just east of the 200 block of Greenridge Drive. Pedestrians later advised officers they heard fireworks.

FRAUD

9/3/13 10:09 a.m. A man claiming to be from PGE walked into a grocery story and said he would have to issue a cancellation notice if he was not given money to pay the electricity bill. This turned out to be false.

9/5/13 11:36 a.m. A hacker broke into a woman’s email account and fraudulently accessed her E-trade account and sold her stocks. But she was able to stop the funds from being transferred.

9/7/13 1:10 p.m. A woman said her bank account was used by another person. After contacting the her, officers learned the information for using the account was obtained through mail stolen in 2008.
