9/23/13 7:40 a.m. A burglar broke into a lumber yard, caused $350 in damage to the fence and stole a number of items.

9/23/13 5:35 p.m. Two amps and an audio processor worth $19,000 were stolen from an attached garage on Willow Court.

9/27/13 8:20 a.m. A jammed door prevented a burglar from entering a residence on Lower Drive, but there was $400 in damage done to the lock.

ACCIDENTS

9/24/13 9:25 a.m. A vehicle hit a garbage can so hard it knocked it 75 feet.

9/27/13 9:35 p.m. An erratically driven vehicle smashed into a light pole on Carman Drive and Meadows Road, causing $1,500 in damage.

THEFTS

9/23/13 10:29 p.m. After some houseguests left it was discovered that $9,000 in miscellaneous items were missing.

9/24/13 3:29 p.m. Mail was swiped from a mailbox on Knaus Road. Three checks were taken and cashed.

9/24/13 6:15 p.m. After taking a $4,000 check from a mailbox on Upper Drive, a suspect attempted to cash the check in Newberg.

9/24/13 9:11 p.m. A black iPhone worth $300 was stolen from a locker room at Lakeridge High School.

9/25/13 11:14 a.m. A paint contractor is the top suspect in the theft of $20,000 worth of jewelry from a home last August.

9/26/13 1:58 p.m. Jewelry worth $49,000 was taken from a safety deposit box at a bank.

9/27/13 8:54 p.m. While building a home, a man has had several thefts from the site. He is requesting extra police patrols at night.

9/29/13 10:58 a.m. While attending a party on Carman Drive, a woman’s leather book bag, jacket and shoes were stolen.

9/23/13 10:18 a.m. While taking his dog for a walk on River Dell Road, a man fell down and his dog ran away. The search is now on for a caramel-colored golden doodle wearing a leash.

9/23/13 12:39 p.m. A former employee came into an office intoxicated and had to be taken home by another employee’s husband.

9/23/13 3:22 p.m. Police are investigating a series of threats being made at Lakeridge High School.

FRAUD

9/18/13 3:15 p.m. A woman is alarmed that her IP address has been hacked.

9/23/13 3:02 p.m. A woman was advised by her employer that someone had used her Social Security number.

9/24/13 2:50 p.m. A client wrote a fraudulent check for $80 at a computer store.

9/24/13 6:19 p.m. Three unauthorized withdrawals totaling $700 were taken from a woman’s account. Auto-body repair fraud is suspected.

9/25/13 12:25 p.m. A phone caller raised suspicion when he tried to convince a man that his computer had a virus and needed his services.
