2/5/14 12:39 p.m. A house being prepared for an estate sale was burglarized by a burglar who forced open a window. Missing items had been posted online.

2/5/14 1:56 p.m. A burglar struck at a home on Fernwood Drive. A woman came home to find items scattered near her door.

ACCIDENTS

2/3/14 noon. A hit-and-run accident occurred in front of the Lake Twin Theater on State Street. However, the victim was unhurt and his car was not damaged.

2/3/14 7:40 p.m. While trying to pull her dog out of a storm drain on Ash Street, a woman suffered a thigh injury when she was hit by a light-colored sedan with halogen lights.

2/6/14 6:55 a.m. One of the parties in a crash on Mt. Jefferson Terrace refused to exchange information with the other driver.

2/7/14 4:47 p.m. Two vehicles hit a telephone pole and one vehicle got stuck on the tracks on Bryant Road.

2/3/14 3:13 p.m. While a car owner was walking his dog at the dog park on Stafford Road, a thief broke into the man’s car and stole items.

2/4/14 9:10 a.m. A valuable trombone without a serial number was stolen from a white Honda Accord on Briercliff Lane.

2/7/14 2:50 a.m. A man called police to report that he had been robbed.

2/7/14 12:11 p.m. A woman was robbed of a Smith & Wesson Lady Smith .38, valued at $400.

2/8/14 2:53 p.m. An ex-wife allegedly stole her ex-husband’s guns out of his safe.

2/8/14 8:59 p.m. Three guitars were stolen from a residence on Wembley Park Road over the past month.

2/3/14 6:15 a.m. A resident of a shelter home at the Church of Christ thought he heard a burglary taking place when he heard noises in the church. However, it turned out there was a church meeting in progress.

2/3/14 3:10 p.m. A missing 3-year-old son was found enjoying himself at a neighbor’s house.

2/3/14 3:55 p.m. While strolling through Lake View Village, a man was nearly run down by an apparently drunken driver driving a silver sedan.

2/3/14 7:40 p.m. A woman’s dog was attacked by another dog at Hazelia Field. The attack dog’s owner has paid for all the vet bills, but the woman wants to file a police report about the incident.

2/4/14 12:55 a.m. A 13-year-old was lodged at the juvenile retention center because of a curfew violation.

2/4/14 1:29 p.m. A woman has received scam phone calls over the past two days from a man claiming to be with law enforcement. He claimed to be a law enforcement officer, said he had a warrant for her and threatened to come arrest her if she did not call him back.

2/4/14 2:19 p.m. A girlfriend is leaving nutty messages on her boyfriend’s voicemail.

2/4/14 4:23 p.m. A resident of Scarborough Drive flagged down an officer to report that a dog had just dug up her yard and had even defecated on her lawn.

2/8/14 4:15 p.m. Taking advantage of the weather, kids are doing doughnuts in Jeeps and ATVs on Fourth Street and Lake Bay Court.

2/8/14 8:27 p.m. A man was threatened by people using a hill on Boca Ratan Drive. They resented his warning that they were being too loud.

2/8/14 6:18 p.m. Harassing emails have been sent by an ex-husband to his ex-wife. They were both warned not to call or text each other.
