Probe continues into man robbing store with knife

Tualatin Police seek public's help in locating suspects

Tualatin Police are looking for a man who allegedly robbed a store at knifepoint on Monday evening.

Tualatin Poilice were called to Palm Beach Tan, 7184 S.W. Hazelfern Road, at about 8:50 p.m.

Employees told police a man entered the store and demanded money, threatening the employee with a 4-inch-long knife.

The man fled the store with about $300 in cash, said Tualatin Police spokeswoman Jennifer Massey. According to witnesses, a second man waited outside, and the two ran off before police arrived. A K-9 team from Hillsboro conducted a search for the suspects, but was unable to locate them.

Police describe the robber as a white man in his 20s with a scruffy beard. He wore a dark-colored puffy jacket, jeans, black Converse shoes and a dark-colored baseball hat with an “E” embroidered on the front, along with a white bandana.

The man had noticeable brusing on his jaw and supported it with his hand. A witness told police he mumbled as he spoke, as though he had an injury. Anyone with any information about this incident is asked to contact Tualatin Det. Jill Chapman at 503-691-4842.
