5/28/14 11:40 a.m. Two houses have been burglarized in a neighborhood. The suspects are some guys posing as house painters.

5/31/14 3:51 p.m. A rude driver followed a woman driver so closely that her car was scraped and her taillight was damaged.

THEFTS

5/28/14 7:12 p.m. Checks are being stolen from a woman’s mailbox on Fifth Street and used to take money from her account.

5/29/14 9:10 a.m. While its owner was having a cup of coffee at a coffee shop, a man’s brown leather shoulder bag, containing an iPad and files, was stolen by another coffee drinker.

5/29/14 1:10 p.m. A timely yell stopped a thief from stealing some bike lights valued at $75. The thief abandoned his original idea and legged it out of the shop.

5/26/14 8:21 p.m. A woman was informed that her ex-husband had stolen things from her. The informant was his current girlfriend.

5/26/14 11:16 p.m. A drunken daughter began beating on her mother’s door and then started beating her mother.

5/27/14 7:38 a.m. A criminal mischief maker on Lakeview Boulevard smashed a window of a business, causing $300 in damage.

5/27/14 9:16 a.m. Vandalism at Lakeridge Junior High School resulted in a broken window and a fire alarm being broken off a wall. Total damage was approximately $750.

5/27/14 9:39 a.m. An innocent pedestrian was nearly run down by a chunky blonde female in a Hummer on Boones Ferry Road. He believes it was an act of deliberate malice.

5/27/14 3:14 p.m. A worried woman on Lakeview Boulevard has spotted a coyote looking at a deer and a fawn by Oswego Lake. If necessary she will rush to the rescue of the deer with her trusty broom.

5/27/14 3:59 p.m. A young numbskull is always riding his bike at a high rate of speed on Sundeleaf Drive, and neighbors are worried he will hit juveniles walking in the area.

5/30/14 10:58 a.m. A mysterious envelope marked “extremely urgent” was delivered to a law office. Inside the envelope was a black bag that seemed to contain grainy material. Police have seized the envelope.

5/30/14 3:17 p.m. Two men in a Range Rover were rolling down the highway and smoking a bong.

5/30/14 4:28 p.m. A woman reported that her neighbor has been honking and harassing her since March.

5/30/14 6:16 p.m. A police officer showed up just as some juveniles were trying to take a scooter locked to a bike rack on Kingsgate Road. Before the officer left, the juveniles were well acquainted with laws regarding theft, punishment and playground conduct.

6/1/14 7:38 a.m. A woman at first thought her car had been stolen while she was drinking coffee at Chuck’s Place. However, it turned out she had left the car in neutral and it had rolled downhill.

5/21/14 9:07 a.m. A porn aficionado has racked up $298 in charges on somebody’s Comcast account. The suspect is a guy hired to do yard work.

5/21/14 11:21 a.m. A man suspects the threatening call he got from the IRS is a scam.

5/21/14 2:14 p.m. A Verizon Wireless account was set up using a woman’s name and Social Security Number.

5/21/14 4:23 p.m. A restaurant received a call from someone claiming to be from PGE who threatened to turn off the electricity if they did not pay a bill of $800.

5/22/14 4:20 p.m. A woman’s Social Security Number was used by an unknown person to file a tax return.

5/23/14 10:42 a.m. A man received a call that his grandson was in jail and needed some money quick to avoid an extended stay in the pokey. The man doubted the veracity of this dilemma.
