It will be an exciting day Saturday when Lake Oswego Hunt hosts the Oswego Classic Hunter-Jumper Show for the 2014 Nancy Wild Medal Series.

The event is held in memory of the late Nancy Wild, former trainer at Lake Oswego Hunt, who died of breast cancer in 2008. Proceeds from the show will be donated to the Providence Breast Cancer Center.

“Nancy had a lot of impact on Lake Oswego students,” said Fred Lackman, now the trainer at Lake Oswego Hunt. “This show has been developing through the years and has developed into the Oswego Classic. It is something that is dear to our hearts.”

The schedule starts with the schooling show at 9 a.m. Saturday and continues through the day with riding events for everyone from “Little Beginners” to advanced riders.

Fifty riders and their mothers and fathers are set to attend the show, but Lackman said the public is welcome to come and watch an outstanding riding event. Admission to the Oswego Classic is free. Making the event spectator-friendly will be food vendors, a beer garden and more.
