BURGLARIES

6/30/14 4:55 p.m. A burglar broke into an apartment on Jefferson Parkway by breaking a patio door. Items taken included a computer and jewelry.

ACCIDENTS

6/30/14 4:20 p.m. A motorcycle rider had a baby strapped onto his vehicle. The driver was driving erratically, crossing over solid yellow lines and slaloming in and out of bike lanes, before finally crashing on State Street. The 4-year-old child had to be taken to a hospital by AMR, and the 52-year-old motorcyclist was cited for reckless endangering and reckless driving before being released.

THEFTS

6/30/14 4:49 p.m. A man’s wallet, containing two Bank of America debit cards, was stolen from a vehicle on Del Prado.

6/30/14 9:25 p.m. A man took off running before he paid for his taxi fare. However, a resident on Eaglecrest Drive paid for the service.

7/2/14 9:16 a.m. A man ran up and flagged down an officer to tell him the tag was cut off his license plate.

7/2/14 11:41 a.m. A Droid cell phone with a red/black case valued at $200 was stolen from the counter of a service station on Monroe Parkway.

6/28/14 2:38 a.m. A 26-inch mountain bike valued at $450 was found on South State Street.

6/28/14 2:35 p.m. While her son was incarcerated at Clackamas County Jail, a mother found marijuana and a marijuana pipe. It was determined the son had a medical marijuana card and possessed the drug legally.

6/28/14 6:29 p.m. A woman is being stalked by her ex-boyfriend. He left a ring on her porch and tracked her down while she was on a bike ride. An officer warned the man about criminal trespass.

6/28/14 8:39 p.m. A drunk was trying to get money out of an ATM machine on Jean Road.

6/29/14 1:18 a.m. A man was creeping through Deerbrush Avenue when a resident tried to confront him about his activities. Instead of conversing, the creeper made off in great haste.

6/29/14 9:56 a.m. A man with a bipolar condition was walking barefoot around a church and cussing at churchgoers. Police found the man to be irritating but not dangerous.

6/29/14 4:25 p.m. An employee of a gas station thought he saw Julia Lynn Haner, the former Lake Oswego cheerleader now on the run from sex trafficking charges, trying to get a fill-up.

6/29/14 4:25 p.m. Four young jerks in a car drove into a gas station and started throwing garbage out. They departed with a stream of obscenities.

6/30/14 a.m. The street lights have been knocked out on Royal Oaks Drive and a resident is worried that thieves will start operating in the neighborhood.

6/30/14 9:22 a.m. A box left in a yard on Lakeview Boulevard was taped in an odd way. A check of the box by an officer discovered anti-geese statues with rotating heads.

6/30/14 11:07 a.m. A woman was frightened by what she thought was a cougar, but it was really a raccoon scratching in her garden.

6/30/14 1:48 p.m. A man is being a real nuisance by constantly trying to return a product at various locations of a tire store chain. He is becoming more and more aggressive.

6/30/14 3:33 p.m. A woman is trying to convince a nagging solicitor that he is calling the wrong person.

6/30/14 6:17 p.m. A woman fears for her life after a man threatened to kill her. Police are monitoring the caller.

6/30/14 6:58 p.m. Two stepsons were having a fistfight, but no one in the house would let officers inside to break it up.

7/1/14 1:18 a.m. A man was assaulted and chased by a 28-year-old man, but the victim declined to press charges. However, the suspect was telephonically trespassed.

7/1/14 10 a.m. A man who complained about the noise of a compressor and nail guns was ignored by workmen. An officer contacted the contractor to warn him about noise regulations.

7/2/14 1:37 p.m. A man cut through a parking lot and took some milk out of a dumpster. The fact that it was spoiled didn’t seem to bother him.

7/2/14 4:10 p.m. Police were advised that a teenager who had too much to drink at a pizza joint was about to drive away.

7/2/14 4:13 p.m. When a woman opened her garage door on McDuff Court, she saw a strange man crouched next to her car. He claimed to be looking for his dog.

7/2/14 9:39 p.m. Some teens got into a verbal bout with people who objected to them lighting up fireworks.

7/3/14 12:57 a.m. A teenage son kept yelling at his mother to get off him.

7/3/14 9:16 a.m. A vandal was at work at Bryant Woods Park, damaging trail signs, ripping out a sign post and spraying graffiti. Loss was estimated at $300.

7/3/14 1:22 p.m. A son continues to harass his mother despite a restraining order against him.

7/3/14 1:45 p.m. At a convenience store on Pilkington Road, a man approached two boys and asked if they wanted to hunt turtles in his boat. An officer was called.

7/3/14 5:21 p.m. A woman picked up a box left at the Goodwill center on Boones Ferry Road and drove off. Police located the woman and cited her with Theft III before releasing her.

7/4/14 12:55 a.m. Three juveniles were causing problems at Oak Creek School after midnight. They were picked up for curfew violation, then released to their parents.

7/4/14 5:53 a.m. Domestic chickens are raising hackles on Gimley Court.

7/4/14 9:08 a.m. An ex-boyfriend keeps texting a woman nonstop despite her pleas for him to stop.

6/24/14 2:10 p.m. A person trying to purchase a child care business in Lake Oswego is having difficulty getting earnest money back.

6/24/14 4:02 p.m. A woman received a phone threat that she would be arrested and jailed if she did not pay the caller.

6/25/14 1:39 p.m. A man is being plagued by phony phone calls from supposed grandsons and a Portland police officer, who said the man needed to pony up $12,500 in bail money if he ever wanted to see his granddaughter again.

6/25/14 1:48 p.m. Another senior citizen was harassed by a fraudulent caller who claimed to be with the IRS. The caller threatened to arrest her family if she tried to involve a third party.

6/30/14 12:07 p.m. Internet fraud resulted in $410 being stolen from a woman.

7/1/14 10:33 a.m. A crooked business tried to swindle a female by using Craigslist, but she avoided being defrauded.

7/1/14 1:37 p.m. A caller tried to trick an elderly man with the old “grandson arrested in a foreign country and needs bail money” scam, but the oldster saw through the scheme.

7/1/14 4:52 p.m. After renewing a magazine subscription online, a woman thinks she might be the victim of a fraud.

7/2/14 11:49 a.m. A woman found two fraudulent charges on her credit card.

7/3/14 11:32 a.m. A woman suspected fraud when someone claiming to be with the Bank of America called her and asked for her Social Security Number.

7/3/14 4 p.m. Eight fraudulent charges were made on a credit card amounting to $110.

7/3/14 6:49 p.m. A dishonest locksmith told a woman he would charge her $19 for unlocking her car, then charged her $194.
