Lake Oswego has popped up on yet another list of good places to be, partly for its school district.

ZipRealty, a residential real estate brokerage company, earlier this month put out its second annual list of the 10 Best Places for Families to Live, and LO came in at No. 6. The list is the result of an analysis of the highest-rated school districts in 23 metro areas in the nation and the median price per square foot within the school district, according to Market Watch, a section of “The Wall Street Journal.”

Lake Oswego School District had the highest school score at 9.8 on a scale of 1 to 10 and one of the higher real estate median prices, $192 per square foot.

Delano Public School District in Minneapolis took top honors with a school score of 9.2 but a median real estate price of $101 per square foot. Only two other school districts on the west coast made it on the list, with Orange County, Calif.’s Los Alamitos Unified School District at No. 9, and Seattle’s Mercer Island School District at No. 10.
