Search underway for missing Dundee woman

by: COURTESY KOIN 6 NEWS - Jennifer Huston, 38, was last seen in Newberg filling her Lexus SUV on Thursday.A search effort is underway to find Jennifer Huston, 38, a mother of two who was last seen filling her Lexus SUV at the Circle K gas station at 3101 Portland Rd. in Newberg. at 6:00 p.m. Thursday.

Jennifer lives with he husband Kallen and their two young sons in Dundee, roughly four miles away. When Jennifer didn’t return from running errands by 10:00 p.m., Kallen said he knew something was wrong. He called her girlfriends to see if she was with them, and by 11:00 p.m., he was panicking.

“It’s very uncharacteristic of her, she’s a very regimented person, she sticks to a schedule,” said Kallen, explaining she is very dedicated to their children.

“She’s potty training our two year old, this is not something she would do,” said Kallen, adding that she has no history of mental illness.

Kallen is calling on anyone with any information to come forward.

“Any possible lead, if you have the tiniest bit of information, no matter how big or small, just call your local police department,” he said.

It is presumed she is with her car, a 1999 Lexus LX SUV with Oregon license plate WXH 011. She is five-foot-seven-inches tall, of average build, with shoulder-length blonde hair and blue eyes.

The last time Julie McLellan saw her friend of seven years just over a week ago, they talked about wine tasting and Jennifer’s upcoming wedding anniversary.

Today, McLellan is canvassing the area near Dundee, in the hopes it will help find the dedicated stay-at-home mom, missing since Thursday.

“I still can’t believe I’ve got these flyers in my lap,” McLellan said. “There was nothing out of the ordinary at all.”

Her family and friends have come together via a Facebook Page, of which posts have been shared in Carlton, Portland, McMinnville, Hood River, Hillsboro, Tacoma, Bend, Lincoln City, Corvallis, and as far as California and Missouri.

Anyone who sees Huston, or her vehicle, is asked to call their local police department.

Bill Turner, Huston’s father, said he is encouraged by the outpouring of support from friends and family. He said more than a thousand flyers have been printed and they’re on the verge of running out.

He, too, is convinced something out of the ordinary has happened.

“Her boys are her world, she would not leave them unattended,” he said.
