All City of Lake Oswego offices will close Monday in observance of New Year's Day

LIBRARY CLOSED (DEC. 31-JAN. 1): The Lake Oswego Public Library will be closed on Sunday and Monday in observance of New Year's, reopening Tuesday at 10 a.m.

CITY OFFICES CLOSED (JAN. 1): All City offices — including the Adult Community Center, Municipal Golf Course and Tennis Center — will be closed on Monday to celebrate the New Year's holiday.

CITY COUNCIL GOALS: Missed the City Council's Open House last month? It's not too late to share your thoughts and concerns as the council prepares for its 2018 goal-setting retreat on Jan. 6. Comments are still being accepted online at tinyurl.com/CouncilGoals2018.

ARTS & CRAFTS STUDIO (DEC. 30): On Saturday mornings, the focus is on art at the Lake Oswego Public Library (706 Fourth St.). Bring an art or craft project to work on, browse the library's collection of art and craft books, talk to other artists, explore art online or get technical help with projects and research techniques. Bring your own supplies or use the library's drawing supplies; no registration is required for the studio, which starts at 9 a.m.

FIRST TUESDAY (JAN. 2): The Big North Duo brings its unique brand of swing, blues and country to the Lake Oswego Public Library (706 Fourth St.) for a First Tuesday concert at 7 p.m. The family-friendly program, sponsored by the Friends of the Lake Oswego Public Library, is free.
