2/5/18 8:37 p.m. A driver was cited for careless driving and transported to Providence St. Vincent Medical Center after crashing her car over a median and through a fence near Boones Ferry and Country Club roads.

1/30/18 9:26 a.m. Camping gear was taken from an unlocked Kia Sedona on Foothills Drive.

1/31/18 11:02 a.m. Thieves smashed the window of a Nissan Murano on South State Street and took a purse containing credit cards that were then quickly used.

1/31/18 1:58 p.m. A Dell laptop, a North Face jacket and a gray cloth bag containing a birth certificate and Social Security card were stolen from a Chevy Suburban on McVey Avenue.

2/2/18 8:56 a.m. Lumber was taken from a construction site on Cherry Lane.

2/2/18 11:19 a.m. A clarinet taken sometime during winter break was reported stolen at Lakeridge Junior High.

2/3/18 9:25 a.m. A flashlight and pocketknife were taken from an unlocked Subaru Outback on Wall Street.

2/4/18 1:22 p.m. Miscellaneous items were taken from a Toyota 4Runner on Bilford Lane.

STOLEN VEHICLES

2/3/18 6:54 p.m. A tan Chevy Suburban with a black toolbox in the cargo space was reported stolen on Bryant Road.

2/3/18 2:51 p.m. A man told police he gave scammers more than $1,000 after receiving sweepstakes-related phone calls.

MISC.

1/23/18 4:15 p.m. A resident of an apartment complex on Sunset Drive told police that someone had opened her mail and she was concerned that sensitive information had been compromised.

1/25/18 9:25 a.m. Employees of a bank on Boones Ferry Road reported that a German shepherd was in the parking lot, barking at customers. The pooch was gone by the time police arrived.

1/25/18 12:18 p.m. Employees of the Blue Star Lounge called police after finding boxes — some with items still inside — in the trash and becoming concerned that they might have been stolen. Sure enough, officers tracked down the righful owners and discovered that the boxes had been taken from their front porch.

1/25/18 1:17 p.m. A homeowner became concerned when three "really big" men started banging on the door in the middle of the afternoon. Responding officers told the men to leave and not come back.

1/26/18 10:31 p.m. A loud party on Vermeer Drive and loud music on Evergreen Road prompted calls from angry neighbors. Officers contacted the boisterous residents in both cases and urged them to turn down the volume.

1/27/18 4 a.m. A resident who left the Robinswood group home on Christie Drive for work never returned, prompting employees to report the juvenile as a runaway.

1/28/18 8:21 a.m. A Ford Explorer's window was smashed on Andrews Road and someone broke a BMW X5's window on Chandler Road. The following day, a Toyota Corolla on Boca Ratan Drive suffered a similar fate. Nothing was reported taken from any of the vehicles.

1/28/18 2:17 p.m. Trash was dumped in a wetlands area off Stampher Road, prompting a call to police from a man who identified a possible suspect. Officers met with the perpetrator, who then cleaned up all of the debris.

1/29/18 1:53 p.m. A woman told police she was concerned that children or pets might be poisoned after finding a rat trap near a light post at Brookhurst Drive and Woodhurst Place.

1/29/18 7:37 p.m. TriMet officials asked for help after a woman refused to get off a bus at the Lake Oswego Transit Center. Turns out it was the wrong bus anyway, so officers helped point her in the right direction.

1/30/18 2:50 p.m. Someone entered a homeowner's garage and keyed her Subaru Outback.

1/30/18 5:11 p.m. Talk about delivering bad news: Complaints continue to come in about a newspaper delivery driver who wakes people up every morning with the loud, after-market exhaust on his car.

1/30/18 6:32 p.m. An intoxicated man was banned from a pub and nearby grocery store on McVey Avenue after taking a bottle of wine and breaking it open in a bathroom.

1/31/18 1:05 a.m. An anonymous caller to 911 told dispatchers that neighbors at the Ridge at Mountain Park Apartments were weaponizing their cellphones and using magnetic pulses against her.

1/31/18 12:18 p.m. A passerby became concerned when she spotted a man walking back and forth on Mercantile Drive with a toddler and infant in tow. Turns out he was only waiting for his wife, who works in a nearby business.

1/31/18 12:22 p.m. A woman told police that five cars had followed her from Portland, and she thinks her neighbors have something to do with it.

1/31/18 7:18 p.m. Officers collected mail and turned it over to the U.S. Postal Inspector after learning that a group of mailbox doors had been left open on McVey Avenue.

2/1/18 11:52 a.m. Officers came to the rescue of a grandmother who had locked her grandchild in a Jeep SUV. The youngster was freed unharmed.

2/1/18 3:18 p.m. A woman called police when she couldn't find her Nissan Versa in the parking lot at One Jefferson Parkway, and then called back when she found the car in a different spot — with a soda can that didn't belong to her sitting inside.

2/2/18 8:01 a.m. A man left St. George, Utah, for Bend but never arrived, promping Utah police to ask the LOPD for help in tracking him down. Turns out the man has a home in Lake Oswego, but no one was home when officers stopped by.

2/2/18 10:59 a.m. A motorist told police that the driver of a black truck with tinted windows blew black smoke into her field of vision, making it difficult for her to see the road ahead.

2/2/18 11:09 a.m. A 10-year-old boy and a 14-year-old boy ran away from the Robinswood group home on Christie Drive. When they left on foot, the older boy was wearing a white shirt and black basketball shorts and carrying a blue backpack; the younger boy wore a red T-shirt and dark sweatpants.

2/2/18 7:12 p.m. Three teenagers were banned from the 365 Market on State Street after store employees asked them to leave and they sat outside the store yelling at customers instead.

2/3/18 5:17 p.m. Community mailboxes on Foothills Drive were damaged sometime during the past two weeks by hooligans who used a prying tool to gain access. It was unclear whether any mail had been taken.

2/4/18 1:38 a.m. Reports of a man throwing garbage cans brought police to an alley off

A Avenue, where the intoxicated trash tosser told officers he was waiting for an Uber ride.

2/5/18 9:56 a.m. Passersby became concerned after seeing a man stop his car near Highway 43 and Terwilliger Boulevard and try to get a disoriented woman into the vehicle. Responding officers determined that the woman had gotten away from her caregiver, and that the man was simply a good Samaritan trying to keep her safe and out of the roadway.

2/5/18 12:26 p.m. A homeowner asked for extra police patrols after answering her doorbell and finding nothing but wet footprints on her porch.

2/5/18 1:23 p.m. A man told police that teenagers walked away laughing after he confronted them about opening his mailbox. Nothing was missing, but he was urged to call officers if it happens again.

2/5/18 11:16 p.m. A woman told police she wasn't sure whether it was people screaming or loud dogs howling, but she definitely heard something near Westlake Park. Officers located neither man nor beast.
