Old Town Neighborhood Association will announce the winner of a sidewalk poetry contest

ALZHEIMER'S SUPPORT GROUP (MAY 10): A Caregivers Group designed for family members and friends caring for older adults with memory problems due to Alzheimer's disease or related dementia is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. Thursday at the Adult Community Center (505 G Ave.). The free group is co-sponsored by the Alzheimer's Association and facilitated by Vicki Vose.

SIDEWALK POETRY CONTEST RECEPTION (MAY 10): The Old Town Neighborhood Association will announce the winners of a poetry contest from 6:30-7 p.m. Thursday at the Lake Oswego Library (706 Fourth St.). The contest was held to select three poems that will be engraved into sidewalk tiles in the Old Town Neighborhood. More than 80 poems were submitted by Lake Oswego residents. THIRD TUESDAY (MAY 15): Author and conservationist William L. Sullivan will talk about "New Hikes & Rajneeshees" in this Third Tuesday Author Speak presentation at 7 p.m. Tuesday the Lake Oswego Public Library (706 Fourth St., Lake Oswego). The title is a reference to Sullivan's two new books, a hiking guide for Southern Oregon and a murder mystery about the Rajneeshees. The event is free.
