• At its meeting on Aug. 11, the Lake Oswego Planning Commission conducted a public hearing on proposed clear and objective housing standards as required by state law. The commission received a staff presentation and accepted public testimony. The planning commission continued the hearing to Sept. 8 for deliberation. It is anticipated the commission will further continue the hearing to Oct. 13 to provide sufficient time for staff to respond to questions raised in public testimony. The public testimony portion of the hearing was closed on Aug. 11. An article in the Aug. 21 issue of The Review may have given the impression that the commission made a final decision Aug. 11; it did not.

  • City councilors in Lake Oswego are elected to four-year terms. An article in the Aug. 21 issue of The Review misstated the length of councilors’ terms in office.

Every effort is made to ensure that stories appearing in the Lake Oswego Review are accurate. Significant errors are corrected in the next week’s issue after being brought to the attention of the editor, Gary M. Stein.
