LO track teams best Grant


The Lake Oswego track teams each posted easy wins in their dual meet with Grant last week. In the boys event, David Soo, Yong Kim and Eric Soo finished 1-2-3 in the 100 meters, each crossing the line within six hundredths of a second of each other.

David Soo and Eric Soo would then finish 1-2 in the 200 as well.

Connor Bracken swept the hurdles events while the Lakers also took home both relays.

In the filed, Jacob Cho won the shot put with a throw of 43'3” while Michael Di Re, Kyle Peterson and Noah Peterson finished 1-2-3 in the discus.

Austin Meyers-Ferris and Cho placed first and second in the javelin as did Mason Collett and Dane Jones in the high jump.

Ike Worth won the pole vault for the Lakers while Nedim Filipovic and Jones finished 1-2 in the triple jump.

For the girls, Riley Hatfield was a double winner in both the 100 and the 200. Shea Vallaire then won the 1500, nearly cracking 5:00 in the process.

Anna Peaslee won the 3000 in convincing fashion while Mitra LeBuhn scored victories in both hurdles events.

In the shot put, Erika Treske, Madelynn Ellis and Julia Moreland took 1-2-3. Treske would also win the javelin and the high jump on the afternoon.

Marissa Taylor would win the discus and the pole vault as the Lakers were very strong in the field.

In the triple jump, Lake Oswego scored another 1-2-3 finish led by Claire Hoobler-Curtis, Bryanna Byrd and Ann Yang.
