Not pictured are Candace Jennings, Ann Thompson, Anne Rader, M.D. and Kelly Sloop.The Women of Meridian Park will hold its annual fundraising luncheon at Oswego Lake Country Club on Oct. 11 from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Brandi Vasquez, M.D., Ph.D., will make the keynote address. Vasquez will discuss new horizons in women’s health.

Vasquez is with Women’s Healthcare Associates. She obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Washington and then earned her M.D. and Ph. D. at Oregon Health & Science University. She completed her residency at Duke University in North Carolina, followed by a Global Health fellowship in Moshi, Tanzania.

Vasquez said she is pleased to return to Oregon. Her broad interests include minimally invasive gynecologic surgery (including robotic surgery), sexual health, international work and education.

WOMP are leaders who come together to improve the health of the community. WOMP is investing in the future of health care by providing support for programs and services that benefit women and children.

This year, WOMP are helping fund projects such as the Mammograms for Underserved Women, Healthy Hearts and Bodies presentations to middle school students, Chest Pain Center and Cardiac Rehabilitation Initiative.
