This experience includes brief talks, guided meditations and review of basic meditation methods such as breath awareness and total mind-body relaxation. Learn how to apply methods of meditation and mindfulness while sitting, walking, exercising, working, eating and during other daily activities.

This simple and relaxed schedule allows you to settle your mind while at the same time allowing you to maintain a constant silent awareness of your daily activities. Age 18 and older, Jan. 12, 8:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. $33.

Belly Dance Basics — Learn basic belly dance torso movement, steps and rhythms. This class is a fun workout that is appropriate for all ages and body types. Age 12 and older, Jan. 7 to Feb. 25, 6:30 to 7:30 p.m., $49.

Belly Dance Beyond the Basics — Improve and refine basic techniques while adding challenging new movements and combinations. This is a fun workout for all ages and body types. Three sessions at beginning level are recommended prior to enrolling. Age 12 and older, Jan. 7 to Feb. 25, 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. $49.

Teen Belly Dance With Maia — Learn basic belly dance movements and step patterns including several shimmies. Listen to the latest Middle Eastern music and watch dance excerpts from old Egyptian movies. Free with After School Activities Program membership. Age 11 to 19 years, Jan. 9 to March 20, 4 to 5 p.m., $22.

Tap Dancing for Adults — All abilities are welcome for introductory beginning class sessions that cover all the fun and fundamentals of tap technique. Students learn coordination, rhythmic variations and performance skills through a series of tap combinations with instructor and choreographer Sara Martins. Age 16 and older, Jan. 8 to Feb. 15, 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $92.

Beginning Line Dance — Have a foot stompin,’ heel kickin,’ yee-haw shoutin’ good time with instructor Holli. Learn a new dance every week in a comfortable and friendly environment. Dances progress from beginner to intermediate over the course of the session. Receive instruction, CD music and have fun dancing. Age 14 and older, Jan. 11 to March 8, 6 to 7 p.m., $33.

Life Coaching Workshop — Do you feel stuck, lack direction or just overwhelmed? Work on creating a clear vision for your life or a specific area of your life and implement the changes necessary to make your goals a reality. Come prepared to grow. Age 18 and older, Jan. 7 to Feb. 4, 7 to 8:30 p.m., $26.

Meditation for Health and Happiness — Actively develop a healthy mind and body and remove stress with comfortable meditation postures. Good for all health conditions, pain management and open to all abilities. Age 16 and older, Jan. 10 to March 14, 7 to 8:30 p.m. $60.

Spanish Classes — Whether you are planning a trip, need to speak Spanish for work or just want to learn a beautiful language, these fun and laughter-filled classes provide you with 10 weeks of knowledge. For more information, visit

Beginning French — Basic conversation, reading, listening and writing skills are taught in this class. Main conversation topics include introductions, talking about food, family, telling time and different actions in the present and past tenses. Fee includes $25 lesson book. Age 16 and older, Jan. 8 to March 12, 6:15 to 7:15 p.m. $138.
