The bride-to-be is the daughter of Stephen Barram and Kathryn Barram. She graduated from Woodrow Wilson High School and earned a degree in nursing from Linfield College in 2009. Following an externship in medical mission work in Cote d’Ivoire, Africa, she is now working as a registered nurse at Portland State University’s Center for Student Health and Counseling.

The groom-to-be is the son of Charlie and Beth Corey of Lake Oswego. He graduated from Lakeridge High School in 1997 and received a degree from the University of Washington in 2001. After graduation he served as an active duty officer in the U.S. Navy until 2009 and then earned a master’s degree in counseling from Western Seminary in 2011. Corey was recalled into active duty in September 2011 and served a year in Afghanistan. He currently works as a councilor at Western Seminary’s A New Day counseling center.
