Luscher Farm happenings

Luscher Farm Summer CSA. Enjoy the bounty of healthy, fresh vegetables straight from the farm. Consider becoming a shareholder in the community supported agriculture shares (CSA). CSA is a partnership between farmer and local customers who invest in each other. It is an innovative and resourceful strategy to connect local farmers with local consumers, develop a sense of community and connect urban citizens to our local roots. Members pay a fee at the beginning of the growing season to meet the farm’s operating expenses for the upcoming season. In return, they receive a portion of the farm’s produce throughout the growing season. This summer, CSA harvest starts in May and continues through the end of October. For more information, visit lakeoswegoparks.org.

Make a CSA Share Smoothie. Use your fresh produce to create a healthy drink that aids digestion and adds energy to your life. One green smoothie every day can help you lose weight and feel great. Recipes will be included with this class. For ages 18 and older, May 16, 6 to 7 p.m. $20.
