Join the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center for the first-ever bridge tournament on Oct. 19 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Play party or duplicate bridge — you choose your game.

Have your own partner or we will find one for you. The cost is $20 per player and includes a fabulous lunch. Contact Jeanne Fox at 503-344-6941 or Sharon Paz at 503-636-9757 for registration and additional information.

Call the center at 503-635-3758 register for classes, the respite program and make lunch reservations. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and older; all others $5.

Friday, Sept. 27

Lake Oswego Fire Department will serve chicken parmesan for lunch. Join us for The Woodman Chronicles screening of “North by Northwest” at 1 p.m.

Monday, Sept. 30

Lake Oswego Lions Club serves meatloaf for lunch. Activities today include Computer Users’ Group from 9:30 to 11 a.m., competitive duplicate bridge at 1 p.m. (call Jeannette Roberts for details, 503-620-5036), mixed media group at 1 p.m., for artists seeking support and a friendly place to work.

Tuesday, Oct. 1

The Lake Oswego Respite Program begins at 11:30 a.m. in the Acorn room. The program costs $30 per participant each day, and is held both Tuesday and Thursday ongoing. Contact Berta Derman, human services supervisor, for registration and information.

Membership is required to play pre-arranged open-play bridge from noon to 3 p.m. (contact Sharon Paz, 503-636-9757), Gourmet Living cooking class at 6:30 p.m. with Chef Stu. Class will focus on Thanksgiving foods. Cost is $15 for members or $22 for nonmembers. Preregistration is required.

Wednesday, Oct. 2

LOACC staff serves chicken schnitzel for lunch. Activities include supervised computer lab from 1 to 2:30 p.m., pinochle for experienced players from 1 to 3 p.m. and American mahjong for experienced players from 1 to 4 p.m.

Thursday, Oct. 3

Activities include: Creative Hands, a group working on handcrafts to donate to charities, from 9:30 a.m. to noon; Scrabble from 1 to 3 p.m. Lake Oswego Respite program begins at 11:30 a.m., bridge and social group from noon to 3 p.m. (call Jeanne Fox at 503-344-6941 for details).
