West Linn’s annual Haunted Trail opens this Friday and Saturday night, Oct. 25 and 26. This year’s event will feature the Trail of Terror for those who dare and the Enchanted Trail for those younger non-thrill seekers. Onsite there will also be games, activities, concessions and a bonfire.

Dare to enter the Trail of Terror. You will be guided through the treacherous and, some say, haunted woods of Mary S. Young Park. The mysteries of the woods are revealed at night. In years past there have been dangerous test site mutants, vehicle disasters, a haunted coal mine and zombies at the graveyard. Dare to come and see what the woods at Mary S. Young Park reveal this year on the Trail of Terror. Bring your friends and join us.

Fast pass tickets are available now at Tickets purchased in advance allow you to access the “fast pass” line at the event while saving money.

On a less spooky note, join our popular instructor Bill Price for some banjo, guitar and/or ukulele classes. These three separate classes are offered in four-week sessions for $60/65 and are held conveniently at Rosemont Ridge Middle School. View class times online at

It’s not too late to enroll in You’re on the Air! How to make it in Voice Overs, which starts today. Voice overs are hot today. You don’t have to be an actor to get voice over work, but it certainly doesn’t hurt. With such notable talent as Morgan Freeman, Glenn Close and Alec Baldwin lending their voices to commercials, films and videos, one would think that it would be next to impossible to break into this field. Not so.

You’ll learn about an exciting, new way to get around the competition and actually turn voice overs into a thriving full or part-time business. Bill Sleeper will discuss the voice over business as a whole, the numerous opportunities, the incredible income potential and the all-important “demo” and how to have it produced. You’ll step up to the mic and do some practice recording, and best of all, you’ll hear the results. Class is held at the West Linn Adult Community Center from 7 to 9 p.m. tonight.

Holiday shoppers looking for unique handcrafted items won’t want to miss the Holiday Bazaar on Saturday, Nov. 16, at the West Linn Adult Community Center from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. This is the perfect small scale bazaar for those who want to shop locally and still enjoy the variety of more than 25 vendors featuring jewelry, kids clothing, woodworks, paintings, sweets and more.
