Women of Meridian Park raise more than $35,000

The Women of Meridian Park held its seventh annual fundraising luncheon Oct. 10 and raised more than $35,000 for Legacy Meridian Park Medical Center.

Net proceeds will help provide mammograms for underserved women, a fall wellness event and gynecology equipment and specialty staff training.

More than 175 people came together to support Legacy Meridian Park and hear a presentation by Legacy Health neurologist Dr. Paul Ash on migraine headaches, stroke and multiple sclerosis in women.

WOMP supports quality health care in the South Metro community by raising funds for projects benefiting women and children. WOMP supports a wide range of projects that enhance the patient care and programs.

A special fundraiser is being held for WOMP today at Accessories from the Heart, 220 A Ave., in Lake Oswego. Owner Carol Winston will donate 20 percent of the day’s sales to WOMP’s mammograms for underserved women program.
