Experienced adult rowers interested in fitness, improving technique or competing in regattas can join the Lake Oswego Community Rowing Masters program through the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation Department.

Whether you are an experienced rower or relatively new, our coaching staff can hone your skills and bring your rowing to a new level. The masters program has an annual membership fee to pay for coached practice times. Ages 18 and older, Monday, Wednesday and Friday, Feb. 1 to 28, 5:30 to 7:15 a.m., $100.

Here are other classes offered through parks and recreation:

Stained Glass in Two Days. Here is a great way to get started in stained glass without having to purchase tools. Pick from more than a dozen patterns and construct a copper foil stained glass panel. All tools are provided. Materials are an additional fee. Ages 14 and older, Feb. 1 and 8, 10 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., $90.

Bob Ross Oil Painting — Multnomah Falls. This step-by-step class takes beginners to seasoned painters from a blank canvas to a finished masterpiece in one class. All supplies are provided. Physically challenged students are welcome. Ages 12 and older, Jan. 27, 5:30 to 9 p.m., $48.

Yoga Basics for Beginners. Want to try yoga but not sure where or how to start? If so, this class is for you. Includes introduction to basic yoga poses, philosophy and mindfulness, giving you a foundation for getting the most from your yoga classes. Ages 18 and older, 7 to 8 p.m. Jan. 27 to Feb. 10, $24.

Introduction to Fencing. Learn the basic tactical and technical skills of the Olympic sport of sabre fencing. This dynamic sport offers challenges to quick thinking, coordination, strength and stamina. Safety is emphasized and all equipment is provided. Ages 7 to 12, 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesdays, Jan. 29 to March 5, $94. The same class is offered to those ages 13 and older from 7:30 to 9 p.m., same dates. Cost is $94.

Walking History Tour at Luscher Farm. Join a park ranger for a tour and history chat about the farm and the characters who have lived there. Meet at the Luscher Farm office, rain or shine. Parents are welcome to backpack or carry children, but the tour is not stroller/wheelchair accessible and children under 12 must be accompanied by an adult. Dress for the weather. Preregistration is required and space is limited. For all ages from 3 to 5 p.m. Feb. 1, $5.

Super Bowl Stay and Play. Enjoy the game while your kids learn about being a team in a fun-filled environment. Lunch and snacks included. Parents do not stay. Ages 2 to 12, 3:30 to 7:30 p.m., Feb. 2, $40.
