by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Vicki Krohn Amorose will lead a workshop to give artists the tools to describe their work through the written word on April 12. Registration is open now through Eventbrite.

Art-Write, a marketing workshop for professional artists, will be offered from 3 to 5 p.m. April 12 at 510 Museum and ARTspace, 510 First St., Lake Oswego.

The workshop will be led by Vicki Krohn Amorose, an educational media writer, copywriter, museum docent and gallery manager.

The seminar is designed to help visual artists develop articulate statements that clearly define the essence of their work.

“Not only must today’s artist possess the talent and technique to successfully craft their work, it is essential they have necessary tools to describe their work through the written word,” said Nancy Nye, executive director for the Arts Council of Lake Oswego. “Vicki’s proven techniques will demystify the ‘art’ of self-promotion and allow artists to describe their work with clarity and confidence.”

Cost of the workshop is $35 and includes Amorose’s workbook. Arts council members receive a $10 discount.

Space is limited and those interested can register online at
