Black and white ball raises $60,000 for Doernbecher

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO: ARTISTIQUE.COM - A benefit for Doernbecher Childrens Hospital Epilepsy Program was held recently at Oswego Lake Country Club. The event, a black and white ball featuring the music of Patrick Lamb, raised more than $60,000 for the epilepsy program. Lake Oswego residents Jeff and Teresa Metke chaired the event; Joe Donlon, also of Lake Oswego, served as emcee. According to the Doernbecher Childrens Hospital website, childrens epilepsy is much different than the same disease in adults. The pediatric epilepsy center at Doernbecher provides a comprehensive, full range of medical and surgical treatment options for the care of epilepsy and related seizure disorders in children and adolescents. Pictured are, from left, Dr. Colin Roberts, his wife, Elizabeth Kendziora, Donlon, Teresa Metke and Jeff Me.
