In need of a style pick me up? Bring your favorite fashionista (grandmas, moms and daughters, too) to the city of Lake Oswego’s inaugural afternoon tea and fashion show, Runway on the Lake, from 2 to 4 p.m. April 6. 

To purchase a ticket, call the Lake Oswego Parks and Recreation office at 503-675-2549. Tickets are $22 for residents, $33 for non-residents. Event includes an afternoon tea.

Tour Luscher Farm with visitors from our sister city, Yoskikawa, Japan, from 12:30 to 2:30 p.m. March 31. Come meet junior high visitors from our sister city.

Rafting. This is one of the best times of the year for rafting as the mountain snow slowly starts to melt and the spring rains keep water levels fun. All sections contain Class II and III rapids, making for a fun day. If you think it is too cold this time of year, we have all the equipment to ensure a warm day. Ages 9 and older, April 12, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., $75.

Adult Learn to Row. Sweep rowing is the technique of rowing with one oar per person. Rowers sit in two, four, or eight-person boats, often steered by a coxswain. Sculling is the technique of using two oars in unison. Scullers learn in instructional single shells. Learn to Row classes include instruction in both sweep and sculling, depending upon interest. Both can advance to the Masters Program after successful completion of a Learn to Row class. All classes are 4 weeks, two times a week. Ages 18 and older, Tuesday and Thursday, April 8 to May 1, 5:45 a.m. to 7:15a, p.m. or 9:30 a.m. to 11 a.m., $130.

Girls Youth Lacrosse —Grades 1 and 2. Young lacrosse enthusiasts learn the fundamentals of girl’s lacrosse in a fun environment. Ages 6 to 8, Friday, Saturday, Sunday, April 6 to June 1, 2 to 3:30 p.m., $64.
