Russian life focus of PrimeTime lunch

Catch a glimpse into the life of Russian royalty at a PrimeTime luncheon to be held at noon on April 10 at Lake Grove Presbyterian Church, 4040 Sunset Drive in Lake Oswego. Russian scholar Jean Cummins will speak on “Elizabeth and Fritz: A Marriage in the Bloods Royal Market” following a catered lunch.

Cummins is a retired adjunct professor with the University of Portland’s department of history.

Cost of the luncheon and program is $8 per person. Reservations should be made by April 7 by calling Gail Beavers at 503-694-5118.

Military, vets invited to Stand Up 2014

Military personnel, veterans and their families are invited to participate in Stand Up 2014: Because You Serve Too!, a housing, health and resources fair at Clackamas Community College’s Oregon City campus from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 5 in the Gregory Forum. The fair will bring together service providers, agencies and advocacy groups that can assist veterans, service members and their spouses.

Women of Worth silent auction set for April 17

Rolling Hills Community Church’s group for women ages 50 and above, Women of Worth, will hold its monthly luncheon meeting from 12:15 to 2 p.m. April 17. Doors open at 11:30 a.m. The event includes the luncheon, program and silent auction.
