Whats new in gardening is topic of lunch meeting

Lakewood Center Associates will hold its monthly luncheon meeting April 17 at the community room in the Lakewood Center for the Arts, 368 S. State St. Guest speaker will be Joe Kerzel from Dennis’ 7 Dees in Lake Oswego.

Dennis’ 7 Dees has been locally owned and family operated since 1956. The Lake Oswego store offers expert advice and a wide variety of plants, roses, pottery and garden art. Kerzel will speak on what is new in gardening for 2014. Audience members are welcome to bring questions, clippings of plants with issues or pictures of yard concerns.

A business meeting will convene at 10:30 a.m., and the program and lunch follows at 11 a.m. The public is invited to attend and new members are always welcome.

The Associates is a group of volunteers whose mission is to promote the welfare and service the needs of the Lakewood Center for the Arts.

The group manages the Re-Runs shop, a consignment and gift shop selling furniture, jewelry, antiques and house wares, and oversees other fundraising events.
