Session of classes about to start

Don't miss the day trip to Timberline Lodge.It is that time again; time to register for the new session of activities and classes at the Lake Oswego Adult Community Center. Our newsletter, “Living 50 +” was inserted into the last “Hello LO” and mailed to all Lake Oswego residents.

In the newsletter, learn about a SAGE Social and how to shop at Fred Meyer while donating to Lake Oswego Meals on Wheels. This session we are offering a fabulous Boomers Boot Camp to get strong and fit, we are also offering a walking class called Walk with Ease, a program from the Arthritis Foundation. Already in perfect shape? Then come on a day trip with us to Timberline or expand your mind with a computer class. Ladies, register for our Social Security Planning Workshop for Women and get the most out of your Social Security benefits. Cost is $15 for members $15, all others $23. Registration begins Monday; call or come down in person.

Call 503-635-3758 to register for classes, events and make lunch reservations. Lunch is served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at a suggested donation of $4 for those 60 and older and $5 for everyone else. The LOACC is located at 505 G Ave.

Friday, June 6

The Lake Bible Church is serving perfectly roasted pork with a maple ginger sauce and apricot bars for dessert. The Mac user group will not meet today.

Monday, June 9

Oui Oui (French for ‘yes, yes’). Delicious French dip with sweet potato fries and apple crisp served by our friends at New Seasons Market.

Tuesday, June 10

Massage is a healing therapy for the mind and body, and we offer massage every Tuesday at the ACC. Michelle Gonzales is a licensed massage therapist, she does Swedish/therapeutic massage, deep tissue, and trigger points.

Call for an appointment. The cost is $48 (1 hour), $24 (30 minutes) and $10 (15 minutes).

Wednesday, June 11

In the mood for Asian-themed fare? Then join us for steaming rice with teriyaki chicken and green tea ice cream for dessert, severed by the Lake Oswego Rotary.

Diabetes Support Group meets from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Thursday, June 12

The Inner Bottom Line: Accepting Loss, meets from 9 to 11 a.m. today and continues June 19. Cost is $25 for members and all others $38. Olive Gallagher will help you find comfort, hope and give you tools in dealing with loss.
