Summer camps being held July 28 to August 1

Kindercamp - Diving the Depths. Half-day camp for children ages 4 through the completion of kindergarten. Children sing songs, play games, listen to stories, and create arts and crafts in an outdoor setting. 9:15 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., $90.

Fencing camp. Learn the basic skills of the Olympic sport of fencing. Fencing offers challenges to quick thinking, strength, coordination and agility. Ages 7 to 11, 9 a.m. to noon, $105.

Engineering FUNdamentals with Legos. Apply real-world concepts in physics, engineering and architecture through engineer-designed projects. A hands-on and minds-on class suitable for Lego novices to “maniacs.” Ages 7 to 11, 9 a.m. to noon, $155.

LO Explorers - Level 1 Warp. Get ready for the Nintendo thunder while we race Mario Karts, create your own Pokémon and more. Then it’s off to Pump It Up for some bouncy fun. Ages 7 to 12, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., $200.

Knitting and Weaving Camp. Join others learning to knit and weave. Start the day in the farmhouse parlor, knitting a dishcloth, headband or bag. Then head outside to learn to weave using traditional materials and treasures from the garden. Ages 8 to 12, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., $164.

Improve Learning Skills, Enhance Social Skills, and Get Creative Preschool Art Hour. Let your imagination run wild and explore the messy world of art! Use a variety of media with stories and song, to make art and new friends. Ages 2 to 6 with parent participation, 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Tuesdays July 29 to August 19, $28.

Mixed Media for Kids. Use a variety of media that includes: watercolor, acrylics, charcoal, pastel, collage, and ordinary objects that can be transformed into creative works of art. Ages 7 to 12, 11 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Tuesdays July 29 to August 19, $31.

Bob Ross Oil Painting - Grey Mountain. Easy step-by-step class takes beginners to seasoned painters from blank canvas to finished masterpiece in one class. All supplies provided. Held at the Adult Community Center. Ages 18 and older, 1 to 4:30 p.m. July 29, $48. Call 503-635-3758 to register.
