Spaghetti dinner fundraiser and much more on tap

by: SUBMITTED PHOTO - Classic cars and West Linns Fire Engine No. 1 will be displayed at the Spaghetti Dinner Fundraiser planned for Aug. 8.

The West Linn Adult Community Center will host a community event Aug. 8. At 3 p.m., classic cars will be on display, free of charge, from a local car club. Also, the Tualatin Valley Fire and Rescue Antiques Group will show off West Linn’s Fire Engine No. 1, a 1929 Ford fire engine original to our city.

Then at 5 p.m., we will host our annual spaghetti dinner fundraiser. Spaghetti, salad, French bread, iced tea and a variety of desserts will be served. Proceeds will go toward our expansion project and tickets are only $8 per person and should be purchased ahead of time so you can secure your place.

Following dinner, we will hold a raffle (tickets sold separately) with almost extravagant prizes awarded to the winners.

Then our own Share Singers, accompanied by our own Ukulele Strummers, will lead everyone in a sing-along with music from the turn of the last century to help celebrate the 101st birthday of West Linn.

If you’ve been curious about the WLACC and would like to learn about ongoing activities available to all ages, this is your chance to explore the building, ask questions, pick up a newsletter and meet some friendly, interesting folks.

Here are the upcoming week’s activities. Call the WLACC at 503-557-4704 for specific times and possible fees. The WLACC is located at 1180 Rosemont Road. Also, all lunches listed below are subject to change, but only for the better.
