You like yoga, and you would like to learn to use a stand-up paddle board, so why not combine the two?

Lake Oswego Parks & Recreation can make that happen with SUP (Stand-up Paddle) Yoga. The fun begins on land before heading to the water for a tour around the cove. Once you feel at ease, we work through a series of traditional poses engaging your core and testing your balance. No prior yoga or SUP experience required. Here are the details: for ages 14 and older, 6-8 p.m. Tuesdays or 9-11 a.m. Saturdays, June 6-Sept. 19, Tryon Cove Park at 14110 Stampher Road in Lake Oswego, $40 per session, including board rental; or $20 per session if you bring your own board.

Lego Camps

Jedi Master Engineering Using Lego Materials — The Force Awakens in this course for young Jedi. Discover key engineering concepts such as gear trains, worm drives, pneumatics and eccentric motion. Build LEGO XWINGS, AT-AT walkers, Pod Racers, Star Destroyers, Cloud Cities and other complex machines and structures from a galaxy far, far away. After Care is from 4-6 p.m. and costs $25 per week. Here are the details: for ages 8-12, 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, June 19-23, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree in Lake Oswego, $155.

Aerospace Fundamentals Using LEGO Materials — Learn the secrets of flight while studying the work of masters like Da Vinci and the Wright Brothers. Build a model of the largest rocket in history and design your own Mars Rover. After Care is 4-6 p.m., and it costs $25 per week. Here are the details: for ages 8-12, 1-4 p.m. Monday-Friday, July 31-Aug. 4, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree in Lake Oswego, $155.

Golf

Night Ranger Glow Ball Golf Tournament — Join us for a night of good golf, food, and fun as we play 18 holes featuring the final nine in the dark using glow-in-the dark equipment. Get Outdoors

Hikes & Rambles — This volunteer-led program involves experts who plan and lead bi-weekly hikes, with the goal of enjoying the outdoors, promoting healthy activity and encouraging social interaction with like-minded friends. Outings are planned for Tuesdays and Thursdays, most within a two-hour drive of Lake Oswego. Pick up at LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree in Lake Oswego, see www.lohikes.com for scheduled hikes, distances, elevation and what to wear/bring. There is a $1 donation, with small fee for mileage.

Adult Dance

Adult Tap Dance: Try it for free — New students are invited to stop by Palisades and try tap dancing for free, then sign up to join class the following week. Here are the details: for ages 18 and older, 7-8 p.m. June 5, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree in Lake Oswego.

Kids Dance

Mini-Ballerinas — An introduction to ballet class with Teacher Eve in a fun learning environment. Here are the details: for ages 3-5, 9:30-10:15 a.m. Saturdays, June 10-July 15, LOPR-Palisades at 1500 Greentree in Lake Oswego, $51.

Kids Theater

Missoula Children's Theatre Auditions — As part of the Lake Oswego Festival of the Arts Missoula Children's Theater will present "Beauty Lou and The Country Beast," casting local children in the production. Auditions will be held June 19 at the Palisades gym at 1500 Greentree in Lake Oswego. Those wishing to audition should arrive by 9:30 a.m. to sign in; pre-registration is strongly encouraged. Open to all Lake Oswego youth ages 6-18. Auditions start promptly at 10 a.m. and continue to noon — no late admissions. Auditioning is free; those selected will be charged a fee for training and rehearsal and must agree to performance schedule during the festival.
