Music in the Woods concert series continues
Marys Woods will present Mousai Remix in its Music in the Woods concert series at 2 p.m. Jan. 31 at Marys Woods Chapel of the Holy Names, 17400 Holy Names Drive, in Lake Oswego. The Portland-based quartet is made up of Oregon Symphony members Emily Cole, Shin-Young Kwon, Jennifer Arnold and Marilyn de Oliveira.
The group takes its name from the ancient Greek Mousai, the muses inspiring the arts and sciences. The quartet is assembled out of a passion to study and perform the great string quartet literature, a desire to share their love of music with the community and promote music education in Portland area schools.
Four-inch heels and bows flying Mousai Remix returns, said Bill Crane, Music in the Woods program director. What better way to open our third season than with perennial favorites Mousai Remix? They are fierce, beautiful, perfectly balanced and utterly charming.
Complimentary refreshments, including wine and cheese, will be served in the Provincial House auditorium following the show. Concert goers have the opportunity to meet the musicians during the reception and participate in a question and answer sessions.
Individual concert tickets are available for $25 online at musicinthewoods.com or $30 at the door. Season ticket information is also available online. Complimentary valet parking is available in front of Provincial House.
