Preliminary reports indicate a semi-truck traveling southbound on HWY 213 rear-ended a van that was turning left into Wagon Wheel Park.

This is an updated version of the story that was posted on Thursday, July 6.

Around 10:30 a.m. Thursday morning, a car crash between a van and a semi-truck significantly slowed traffic in both directions along Highway 213 near Arrowhead Golf Course.

A report from Lt. Cari Boyd of the Oregon State Police indicates that a semi-truck rear-ended a Pontiac van when the van was trying to turn left into the entrance to Wagon Wheel Park traveling southbound on the highway. The police report said the truck could not stop in time to avoid hitting the van.

According to the report, Patricia Ann Lesueur, 48, of Molalla, was the driver of the van.

Also involved in the accident according to the police report was Timothy Charles Cole, 50, a passenger, along with the driver of the semi-truck, Gurpreet Singh Shergill, 31, of Yuba City. There were minor injuries and the van was towed from the scene.

While on the scene, a male was seen being put onto a stretcher and loaded into a Molalla Fire District ambulance.

The report also indicates another vehicle was involved, a white utility vehicle, though it also had Shergill listed as the driver.
