BINGO

The Molalla Public Library is hosting a BINGO fun night for the whole family on Tuesday, Jan. 30 from 5-6 p.m.

PARENTING CLASS

A "Making Parenting a Pleasure" class is starting up at Molalla Elementary on Wednesdays starting Feb. 5 from 6-8 p.m. Join other parents of children 0 to 8 years old for a FREE 10 week positive parenting program. Learn about anger and stress management, your child's development, positive parenting, how to address challenging behaviors and much more! Dinner and childcare will be provided. CITY MEETING

The Molalla Planning Commission will have a meeting on Wednesday, Feb. 7, at 6:30 p.m. in the city hall courtroom, 117 N. Molalla Ave.

BLOOD DRIVE

The Knights of Columbus is hosting a blood drive at St. James Catholic Church, 301 Frances St. in Molalla, on Thursday, Feb. 8 from 2-7 p.m. Your blood is needed more than you may think. Every two seconds someone in the U.S. needs blood. Make an appointment to donate and join a nationwide family of generous donors in a lifesaving cause. KIDS CRAFTS

The Molalla Public Library is holding a Winter Crafts time for kids ages preschool through 5th grade on Friday, Feb. 9 from 3-5 p.m. Families can drop in to participate.

SAUSAGE FESTIVAL

Mt. Angel Wurstfest takes place Friday and Saturday, Feb. 9-10, in the Mt. Angel Festhalle, 500 S. Wilco Hwy. The event runs from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. both days. Adult admission is $5 or $10 with specialty stein or glass (limited availability).

Special events include Senior Day from opening to 3 p.m. on Friday for those over age 65 with some limited, but special, giveaways. On Saturday, RaceNorthwest sponsors the Wurst 5 and 10K Run & Walk starting at 9:30 a.m. Fees include registration, course map, entry to Wurstfest, beer glass and a complimentary beverage. LEGO DAY

The Molalla Public Library is holding a Lego Day on Friday, Feb. 17 from 3-5 p.m. All are welcome, but Duplos will not be used.

HAM RADIO

A HAM radio tech licensing class will be held for anyone interested at the LDS Church, 974 W. Main St. in Molalla, on Friday, March 2 from 6:30- 9:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 3 from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. The exam is on Saturday from 2-4:30 p.m.

This is an entry level class and will permit attendees to communicate over radio on the HAM bands at any time and in the event of an emergency. The class covers all question material and the correct answers. At the end of the class the test will be administered. There is better than a 90 percent likelihood you will pass the test and be issued your license. No age limitations and the license is good for 10 years. Exam fee is $15. Bring a photo ID and know your Social Security number. Also, bring a lunch for Saturday.
