Meeting to discuss cell tower
A proposal to construct a cellular tower in the Highland area will be among the topics for a special meeting of the Clarkes-Highland Community Planning Organization on Wednesday, Oct. 23.
CPO Chairman Ralph Gierke said hes heard of complaints from neighbors of the proposed project, and wants to give neighbors an avenue to express their opinions, and give everyone a chance to learn more about the project.
The meeting is at 7:30 p.m. at Clarkes Grange, 19396 S. Unger Road, Beavercreek. For more information, call 503-632-4625.
Trick or treat at Clarkes school
Clarkes Elementary School will be dressed up for Halloween this week as the schools Parent Teacher Group helps local kids celebrate the holiday.
The schools annual Trick or Treat Street is from 6 to 7 p.m. Friday, Oct. 25, when kids dress up, and roam the school from room to room looking for candy and treats.

Community game night scheduled
Need something to do on a Friday night? Join other Clarkes-Highland area residents for a community game night. Play card games, board games or whatever you like at the Clarkes Grange hall on Nov. 15.
The game night is a free event that is open to everyone. Bring a snack or non-alcoholic beverage to share. Come on by yourself, or bring a friend or family member. There will be something for all ages.

Rummage sale reminder
The annual rummage sale fund-raiser at Clarkes United Methodist Church is Friday and Saturday at 18773 S. Windy City Road, Mulino.
The sale includes great used items, along with fresh hot food and desserts, and runs from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Oct. 25, and from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Oct. 26. For more information, call 503-632-3294.
