Colton Corner April 2

Help the hunt begin

The Colton Easter egg hunt has been a community tradition for many years. This year’s egg hunt will be on Saturday, April 19, in the fields behind the Colton Elementary School. The event begins at 10 a.m. and is for children up to the fifth grade.

The Colton Parents Club is helping to host this year and they are looking for donations to fill more than 2000 colorful plastic eggs. They are also looking for prizes for age-group winners and for a grand prize.

In order for this event to be successful, the club is looking for contributions of individually wrapped candy prizes, gift certificates and monetary donations.

Contributions can be dropped off at Colton Elementary School, 30429 S. Grays Hill Road. Each age group has select eggs that entitle the kids to additional prizes.

Contributions of any kind are greatly appreciated and accepted.

Candy, prizes, gift certificates and monetary donations are the types of items that help make the hunt possible. Contributions can be dropped off at Colton Elementary School, mailed to the address below, or you can call for a pick up.

An event like this is only possible with the help of kind people like you.

All sponsors of the Colton Easter egg hunt are announced and advertised at the hunt.

Mail contributions to Colton Parents Club, PO Box 281, Colton, OR, 97017, or call 503-632-5962 for more information or to have someone pickup your donation.

$30 for $5

The sponsors of the senior class grad night drug- and alcohol-free party are raising funds for their event by selling Papa Murphy’s pizza coupon cards. It offers special prices on select pizzas plus dollar amounts of different sizes. For just $5 you get a $30 value. You can call the school at 503-824-2311 for more information.
