Culver plans holiday events

Community Thanksgiving dinner Nov. 21


The Culver community has several holiday events planned.

The Culver Community Thanksgiving Dinner will be held on Nov. 21, from 5:30-7 p.m., at the Culver Middle School cafeteria. Everyone is welcome.

At another event, for the fourth year in a row, a Culver couple is offering a free Thanksgiving meal to those needing food or fellowship.

Reservations for the meal are being taken through Nov. 23 by calling Kathy at 541-788-0575.

The Culver Sharing Tree will have names of needy children hung on the tree by Nov. 27. The tree will be at the Culver Market. Choose a name, buy and wrap a gift, and return it to the tree with the name tag.

Santa’s Workshop will be held from 11 a.. to 2 p.m., Dec. 14, at Culver City Hall for children ages 3-12. Children make fun crafts for Christmas giving. Parents are encouraged to help. Lunch will be provided.

Applications for those needing a Christmas food basket are available at Culver City Hall through Dec. 13.

A bingo and silent auction event will be held Dec. 8, 6-8 p.m., at Culver City Hall as a fundraiser for the Culver Community Improvement Group and Culver Fire and Rescue Association.
