Driver runs stop sign at Bear Drive and strikes another vehicle, then overturns, trapping two.

Four people were injured in a two-vehicle accident on Sunday, Aug. 20, at Highway 361 and Bear Drive.

According to Oregon State Police media relations representative Bill Fugate, a Toyota sedan, driven by Marianne Becali, 64, and carrying passenger Melissa Becali, 30, both of Sebastopol, California, ran a stop sign and struck a Chevrolet driven by Sharon Billingsly, 66, of Culver, whose passenger was Teddy Billingsly, 87, of Madras.

Several patients were taken by air ambulance to the hospital, but Fulgate did not have specifics on which ones.

Jefferson County Emergency Medical Services reported that all four people involved in the accident were transported to a hospital.

"Highway 361 was closed for over an hour, and Jefferson County Sheriff's Office assisted at the OSP scene," Fulgate said.

Marianne Becali was cited for failure to obey a stop sign.
